Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

The moves are listed below, in alphabetical order by the executive's last name.

1. Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Health System tapped Nishant Anand, MD, to serve as executive vice president and CMO.

2. Pittsburgh Mercy Health System named Antonio Beltran president and CEO, effective Jan. 7, 2019.

3. Santa Ana, Calif.-based KPC Health System selected Sumanta Chaudhuri, MD, to serve as CMO of Hemet (Calif.) Valley Medical Center and Menifee (Calif.) Valley Medical Center.

4. Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health selected Austin Chiang, MD, to serve as chief medical social media officer, a newly created role.

5. Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health appointed Lloyd H. Dean as one of two CEOs of the organization created by its merger.

6. Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health named Paul Edgett chief business lines officer of the organization created by its merger.

7. Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health tapped Charles Francis to serve as chief strategy and transformation officer of the organization created by its merger.

8. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare tapped Ernest Franklin, MD, to serve as chief medical operations officer, effective Jan. 7, 2019.

9. Denver-based UCHealth named Christopher A. Gessner president and CEO of University of Colorado Hospital on the Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, effective February 2019.

10. UnityPoint Health's Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, selected Leah Glasgo to serve as president and CEO, effective Jan. 28, 2019.

11. Paulding (Ohio) County Hospital named Ron Goedde, RN, CEO, effective Jan. 9, 2019.

12. Scott Gregerson, president of Pleasanton, Calif.-based Stanford Health Care-ValleyCare, is resigning, effective Jan. 4, 2019.

13. Memorial Health System in Abilene, Kan., tapped Angie Johnson, MSN, RN, to serve as its chief nursing officer.

14. Newark, N.J.-based University Hospital CEO John N. Kastanis resigned, effective Dec. 14.

15. Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health selected Thomas Kopfensteiner to serve as chief mission officer of the organization created by its merger.

16. St. David's Round Rock (Texas) Medical Center selected Katie Lattanzi to serve as COO.

17. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Nemours Children's Health System named Mary Lee, MD, enterprise chief scientific officer.

18. Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services appointed Don Lemmon chief executive of its North Coast Service Area, which includes oversight over Providence Seaside (Ore.) Hospital.

19. Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health selected Kevin E. Lofton as one of two CEO of the organization created by its merger.

20. Dallas-based Parkland, a public hospital system, has named Joseph Longo as its permanent CIO.

21. Mercy Health-Youngstown (Ohio) appointed John Luellen, MD, its new CEO.

22. Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health appointed Mitch Melfi chief legal officer of the organization created by its merger.

31. David Scarpino, president and CEO of Kingston, N.Y.-based HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, will retire Dec. 31.
