21 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

The moves are listed below, in alphabetical order by the executive's last name.

1. Siloam Springs (Ark.) Regional Hospital selected Adam Bracks to serve as CEO.

2. Greensboro, N.C.-based Cone Health selected Dereck DeLeon, MD, to serve as chief academic officer.

3. Holy Family Hospital, with locations in Methuen, Mass., and Haverhill, Mass., tapped Jeff Dion to serve as vice president and CFO.

4. Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health appointed Megan Drake COO of Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Ala.

5. New York City-based Mount Sinai Health System appointed David A. Feinberg senior vice president and chief marketing and communications officer.

6. Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System appointed Henry J. Franey special advisor to the president and CEO at UMMS.

7. Palo Alto, Calif.-based Stanford Children's Health appointed Paul King president and CEO of Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford in Palo Alto as well as Stanford Children's Health.

8. Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical System named Michelle Lee senior vice president and CFO, effective in March 2019.

9. Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health selected Dean Lin to serve as president of care transformation services and physician practices.

10. Denver-based UCHealth selected Kay Miller to serve as chief nursing officer of UCHealth Greeley (Colo.) Hospital.

11. Charles W. Neumann, interim president and CEO of Louisville-based KentuckyOne Health, plans to retire at the end of 2018.

12. Julie Nunley will serve as chief nursing officer of UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, Colo.

13. Medical City Healthcare tapped Jessica O'Neal to serve as CEO of Medical City Children's Hospital and Medical City Women's Hospital Dallas, effective Dec. 10. All entities are based in Dallas.

14. Mammoth Hospital in Mammoth Lakes, Calif., named Tom Parker CEO, effective Dec. 3.

15. Nashville, Tenn.-based Vanderbilt University Medical Center named Neal Patel, MD, its new HealthIT leader, effective Jan. 1, 2019.

16. St. Luke's Hospital in Columbus, N.C., appointed David Pope interim CEO.

17. Charlie Powell, president of the KentuckyOne Medical Group and Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, Ky., is planning to depart for a new job opportunity.

18. Hillsboro (Kan.) Community Hospital CEO Marion Regier is retiring.

19. Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger selected Jaewon Ryu, MD, to serve as interim president and CEO, effective Dec. 1.

20. Placentia-Linda Hospital in Placentia, Calif., selected Rhonda Sausedo, RN, to serve as permanent chief nursing officer.

21. Utica, N.Y.-based Mohawk Valley Health System named Darlene Stromstad president and CEO.
