The following hospital and health system executive moves were announced or made in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. R. Craig McCoy was named CEO of Greenville, S.C.-based Bon Secours St. Francis Health System.

2. Joel Criste, a long-time Bay Area health leader, was named CEO of the Bay Area-wide healthcare network being developed through a collaborative effort recently announced by University of California San Francisco Medical Center and Walnut Creek, Calif.-based John Muir Health. 

3. Hill Regional Hospital in Hillsboro, Texas, appointed Michael Ellis CEO, effective May 11.

4. Adams County Regional Medical Center in Seaman, Ohio, named Roland D. Gee interim CEO.

5. James Carder, former director of security informatics at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, left Mayo to join Boulder, Colo.-based LogRhythm as its chief information security officer.

6. President Barack Obama's administration nominated Karen DeSalvo, MD, national coordinator for health IT, to become assistant secretary for health at HHS.

7. Salem (Ore.) Health hired Steve Gordon, MD, as CMO.

8. Cincinnati-based The Christ Hospital Health Network appointed Julie Holt CNO, effective May 18.

9. BlueMountainHospital in John Day, Ore., hired Randall Mee as CEO.

10. White Plains (N.Y.) Hospital appointed Susan Fox CEO.

11. Reading (Pa.) Health System appointed Cary Blanchette president of Reading Health System Foundation.

12. Denver-based SCL Health appointed Geri Towndrow, RN, a longtime nursing executive, as its first system CNO.

13. Kansas City, Mo.-based Truman Medical Centers named Mark Steele, MD, COO.

14. Moses Lake, Wash.-based Samaritan Healthcare named Paul Ishizuka interim CFO.

15. I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs, Mo., appointed Jeff Bloemker CEO.

16. The Physicians Foundation named Walker Ray, MD, president.

17. HealthONE's Denver-based Presbyterian/St. Luke’s MedicalCenter and Denver-based RockyMountainHospital for Children named Shari Collier CFO.

18. Terre Haute (Ind.) RegionalMedicalCenter named Jeff Daneff CFO.

19. Jacqueline Herd, DNP, has been named vice president and CNO of Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, Ga., part of Columbus Regional Health.

20. The American Hospital Association named Rick Pollack, a 32-year veteran of the AHA, president and CEO.
