20 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Manchester, N.H.-based Elliot Health System selected Greg Baxter, MD, to serve as president.

2. Cleveland Clinic selected Josette M. Beran to serve as its permanent chief strategy officer, effective immediately.

3. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare expanded its Gulf Coast Division with the purchase of North Cypress Medical Center in Houston, and selected Jim Brown to serve as the hospital's CEO.

4. Memphis, Tenn.-based Regional One Health appointed Martin Croce, MD, senior vice president and CMO.

5. Community Foundation of Northwest Indiana, which operates Munster, Ind.-based Community Healthcare System, named Jesus Delgado, PhD, vice president of IT and CIO.

6. Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah, appointed Jerry Dooley interim CEO, effective Sept. 12.

7. Louisville, Ky.-based Alliant Management Services, a hospital management company, hired Justin D. Harris as CEO for Eufaula, Ala.-based Medical Center Barbour, effective Oct. 1.

8. Livonia, Mich.-based Saint Joseph Mercy Health System appointed Bill Manns president of St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor (Mich.) and St. Joseph Mercy Livingston in Howell, Mich., effective in October.

9. Steve Mulder, MD, president and CEO of Hutchinson (Minn.) Health, plans to retire in April 2019.

10. Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health tapped Mike Neuendorf to serve as CEO of Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

11. Dayton, Ohio-based Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine selected Kimberly Paul to serve as chief administrative officer, a newly created role.

12. Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health appointed Jay Pennisson group CFO and CFO of Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.

13. Norwood (Mass.) Hospital appointed Salvatore Perla permanent president.

14. Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health selected Jody Prather, MD, to serve as chief strategy officer, effective Sept. 17.

15. Omaha, Neb.-based Methodist Health Systems named Brett Richmond president of Methodist Fremont (Neb.) Health.

16. John Serle, who led Pasco, Wash.-based Lourdes Health Network as CEO for the last 13 years, stepped down after Brentwood, Tenn.-based RCCH HealthCare Partners completed its purchase of the system.

17. Pottstown (Pa.) Hospital has appointed Bryce Sillyman as COO.

18. Minneapolis-based Children's Minnesota appointed Pam VanHazinga, BSN, RN, vice president of patient care services and permanent chief nursing officer.

19. St. Louis-based Christian Hospital hired Lori Weatherspoon, BSN, to serve as vice president and chief nursing officer, effective Sept. 28.

20. Colorado Plains Medical Center in Ft. Morgan named Kevin Zachary CEO, effective Oct. 8.
