Two executives at Louisville-based KentuckyOne Health are planning to leave their roles, as sale negotiations continue for the health system's Louisville assets, according to an Insider Louisville report.

Charles W. Neumann, interim president and CEO of the health system, plans to retire at the end of 2018, and Charlie Powell, president of the KentuckyOne Medical Group and Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital in Louisville, is planning to depart for a new job opportunity.

Mr. Neumann replaced Ruth Brinkley after she left the role in July 2017. Equipped with more than 40 years of healthcare industry experience, he was previously interim president of University of Louisville Hospital.

Mr. Powell is taking on the COO role at Fort Myers, Fla.-based 21st Century Oncology.

KentuckyOne Health is in the process of selling off Louisville-area assets. In December 2017, it entered into negotiations with BlueMountain Capital Management, a hedge fund. Among the potential assets included in the sale to BlueMountain is Louisville-based Jewish Hospital. A KentuckyOne spokesperson told Insider Louisville that the negotiations are ongoing. Additionally, the spokesperson noted that the two departures were not linked to the negotiations.

Jennifer Nolan, president of Flaget Memorial Hospital and Our Lady of Peace, will lead Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital. Ron Waldridge, MD, physician executive with the KentuckyOne Health Medical Group and president/CMO of Jewish Hospital, will lead the KentuckyOne Medical Group, according to the report.
