In the meantime, that hospital will be co-led by John McCurley, MD, CMO at St. Francis, and Kevin Sheppard, vice president of ambulatory services and ambulatory care. Mr. Sheppard also becomes interim vice president for operations while Dr. McCurley continues as CMO.

Francine Barr, vice president and COO of St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, has been promoted to CEO of St. Mary's Hospital, also effective Oct. 1.

5. Ms. Barr replaces Toni R. Ardabell, who began her tenure as CEO of Bon Secours Richmond Health System, part of nonprofit Marriottsville, Md.-based Bon Secours Health System, Jan. 1 while staying CEO of St. Mary's Hospital.

6. Ms. Barr came to Bon Secours in 1993 as administrative director of critical care nursing at St. Mary’s Hospital.
