18 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Eric Burch, CEO of Lewis County General Hospital in Lowville, N.Y., has been placed on paid administrative leave, indefinitely.

2. Dearborn County Hospital in Lawrenceburg, Ind., named Nancy Kennedy, MD, CMO, a newly formed position.

3. Chattanooga, Tenn.-based CHI Memorial added Helen Kuroki, MD, as senior vice president and CMO.

4. Lewisville, Texas-based Adeptus Health announced its CEO Thomas Hall is retiring from his post in 2017.

5. Lancaster (Pa.) Regional Medical Center named Brooks Turkel market CEO, effective Sept. 19.

6. New York City-based New York Methodist Hospital CEO Mark J. Mundy is retiring.

7. St. Francis Medical Center in Lynwood, Calif., a part of Redwood City, Calif.-based Verity Health System, appointed Jeffrey Stout as vice president of patient care services/COO and Rahul Dhawan, DO, as CMO.

8. Little Rock-based Arkansas Children's added Chanda Cashen Chacón as its new executive vice president and COO.

9. Cleveland Clinic appointed Brian Harte, MD, president of Cleveland Clinic Akron (Ohio) General and the southern region, effective Sept. 26.

10. Elkhart (Ind.) General Hospital, a part of South Bend, Ind.-based Beacon Health System, named Carl Risk II president.

11. CHI St. Luke's Health Memorial in Lufkin, Texas, named Monte Bostwick its new market CEO.

12. Rochester (N.Y.) Regional Health appointed Nancy M. Tinsley, RN, as Rochester General Hospital's new president.

13. Aiken (S.C.) Regional Medical Centers added Matt Merrifield as COO.

14. Norm Rentz, CEO of Cannon Memorial Hospital in Pickens, S.C., announced his retirement.

15. Bedford, Mass.-based VA New England Healthcare System named Ganga Hematillake, MD, CMO.

16. Kingwood (Texas) Medical Center, a Hospital Corporation of America-affiliated center, appointed Kevin Manning, RN, MSN, as CNO.

17. Peggy Naleppa, MBA, DrM, is retiring from her role as president and CEO of Salisbury, Md.-based Peninsula Regional Health System and Peninsula Regional Medical Center, effective January 2018.

18. Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health promoted Michael S. Coggin to CFO.
