15 recent hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The executives are listed below, alphabetically.

1. Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare named Michael Burnett CEO of Piedmont Athens (Ga.) Regional Medical Center, effective May 1.

2. Timothy A. Churchill, president and CEO of Farmington, Maine-based Franklin Community Health Network and Western Maine Health in Norway, is retiring Jan. 1, 2020.

3. Russell (Kan.) Regional Hospital named Sharon Collins CEO.

4. McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, Ill., dropped "interim" from CEO Brian E. Dietz's title, effective immediately.

5. Winchester, Ky.-based Clark Regional Medical Center appointed Aphreikah DuHaney-West CEO, effective May 20.

6. Riverhead, Wyo.-based SageWest Health Care selected John Ferrelli to serve as CEO, effective April 22.

7. Geri Forbes, former CEO of Coupeville, Wash.-based WhidbeyHealth, resigned from the role April 16, changing course from an earlier announcement that indicated she would continue to serve as CEO until she retired, effective July 1.

8. Pinehurst, N.C.-based FirstHealth of the Carolinas selected Mickey W. Foster as its new CEO, effective July 8.

9. Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Okla., appointed Elizabeth Jones CEO, effective May 6.

10. E.J. Kuiper, DPT, president and CEO of the Central Illinois division of Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System, will take on the role of president and CEO of HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield permanently.

11. HCA Virginia selected William Lunn, MD, to serve as CEO of Chippenham Hospital and Johnston-Willis Hospital, all located in Richmond, Va.

12. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Baptist Health appointed Brett S. McClung president and CEO, effective in early July.

13. Isaac Palmer, CEO of Christus Shreveport-Bossier Health System in Shreveport, La., is resigning for new professional opportunities.

14. Phoenix-based Banner Health named Laura Robertson CEO of Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Chandler, Ariz.

15. Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Okla., selected Xavier Villarreal to serve as CEO.
