16 latest hospital, health system executive retirements

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive retirements in the last four weeks. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Jacksonville, Fla.-based Nemours Foundation, also known as Nemours Children's Health System, announced its President and CEO David J. Bailey, MD, is planning to retire.

2. Orlando-based Florida Hospital market executive Ken Bradley is retiring, effective Feb. 1.

3. Sutter Roseville (Calif.) Medical Center CEO Pat Brady retired.

4. Chuck Carr, CEO of Lexington, Va.-based Carilion Stonewall Jackson Hospital, retired.

5. Patti M. Ellish, president and CEO of St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, La., plans to retire, effective April 30, 2018.

6. C. Todd Jones, president of Baptist Health Richmond (Ky.), is resigning, effective Jan. 26.

7. Peg Kennedy, vice president and chief nursing executive at Fremont (Neb.) Health, is retiring.

8. Karen McCall, chief marketing officer of Chapel Hill, N.C.-based UNC Health Care, retired Dec. 1, 2017.

9. Jim Millard, president and CEO of Kenmore (N.Y.) Mercy Hospital, retired Jan. 6.

10. Cheverly, Md.-based University of Maryland Capital Region Health President and CEO Neil J. Moore is stepping down, effective June 2018.

11. Peggy Naleppa, DrM, retired from her roles as president and CEO of Salisbury, Md.-based Peninsula Regional Health System and Peninsula Regional Medical Center Jan. 3.

12. Scott H. Perra, president and CEO of Utica, N.Y.-based Mohawk Valley Health System, plans to retire, effective June 30, 2019.

13. John Porter, president and CEO of Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Health, is retiring, and he will stay with Avera until December 2018, or until a successor is identified.

14. J. Anthony Rose, president and CEO of Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory, N.C., retired at the end of December 2017.

15. Jaime Wesolowski, president and CEO of San Antonio-based Methodist Healthcare System, is retiring.

16. Kyle Rasmussen, CEO of Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, Minn., tendered his resignation.
