15 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

1. Mark Gregson will take over as interim CEO of Topeka, Kan.-based St. Francis Health in November, after Lawrence-based The University of Kansas and Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health complete the purchase of St. Francis Health from its current parent, Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health

2. Bainbridge, Ga.-based Memorial Hospital and Manor, owned and operated by the Hospital Authority of the City of Bainbridge and Decatur County, appointed James M. Lambert CEO, effective Nov. 27.

3. Niobrara Community Hospital in Lusk, Wyo., named Michelle Skillings, RN, permanent CEO.

4. Rich Mutarelli, CEO of Heart of Florida Health Center in Ocala, is resigning, effective Nov. 1.

5. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's longtime leader Trevor Fetter stepped down from his role as CEO and resigned as a director of the company Oct. 23.

6. Pueblo, Colo.-based St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center CEO Brian Moore is resigning, effective Nov. 10.

7. Louisville, Ky.-based Baptist Health selected Gerard Colman to serve as CEO, effective Dec. 4.

8. HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, Ill., tapped Kevin G. Seely president and CEO, effective Dec. 3.

9. Doug Crabtree, CEO of Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, is retiring, effective Dec. 31.

10. Richmond-based Virginia Commonwealth University selected Elias Neujahr to serve as the first CEO of Children's Hospital of Richmond at VCU, effective Dec. 3.

11. Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville, Va., named Joe Wilkins CEO, effective Nov. 13.

12. Veritas of Washington is moving Washington, D.C.-based United Medical Center CEO Luis Hernandez to another role within Veritas.

13. Four executives from San Antonio-based Baptist Health System are leaving their roles, including CEO Trip Pilgrim.

14. Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services appointed Tomi Ryba chief executive for its Southern Oregon Service Area, effective Dec. 4.

15. Cartersville (Ga.) Medical Center President and CEO Keith Sandlin will retire in January 2018.
