13 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The 13 moves are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. El Paso, Texas-based The Hospitals of Providence selected Rob Anderson to serve as CEO of The Hospitals of Providence Sierra Campus in El Paso.

2. Camden, N.J.-based Cooper University Health Care CEO and Executive Chairman Adrienne Kirby is retiring, effective June 1.

3. Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio, selected Mark Klosterman to serve as president and CEO, effective Jan. 21.

4. Kalispell (Mont.) Regional Healthcare appointed Craig Lambrecht, MD, as president and CEO, effective in early February.

5. Anthony J. Mazzarelli, MD, will serve as a co-CEO of Camden, N.J.-based Cooper University Health Care.

6. Lancaster, Calif.-based Antelope Valley Hospital tapped Edward Mirzabegian to serve as CEO, effective Jan. 15.

7. Huntington, W.Va.-based Mountain Health Network named Michael Mullins president and CEO, effective March 4.

8. Camden, N.J.-based Cooper University Health Care named Kevin O'Dowd a co-CEO.

9. Coudersport, Pa.-based UPMC Cole President and CEO Ed Pitchford plans to retire in March.

10. El Segundo, Calif.-based American Academic Health System, an operator of acute care hospitals, named Suzanne Richards CEO of Hahnemann University Hospital in Center City, Pa., and St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia.

11. Huntsville (Texas) Memorial Hospital appointed Steven L. Smith interim CEO, effective Feb. 11.

12. Hattiesburg, Miss.-based Forrest Health President Andy Woodard will take over the CEO role.

13. Michael Youso, president and CEO of Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minn., is resigning April 2.
