12 women making moves in healthcare

The following leadership moves made by women have been reported by or shared with Becker's since Jan. 19:

1. Debbie Guido-Allen, RN, was named the president of Corewell Health Dearborn (Mich.) Hospital.

2. Ashley Foster was named senior vice president and chief people officer of Lewes, Del.-based Beebe Healthcare.

3. Ashley Casad was named senior vice president of system operations and president of Springfield hospitals for Springfield, Mo.-based CoxHealth.

4. Stephanie Cox-Batson, MD, was named chief medical officer of Unity Health Care, based in Washington, D.C. 

5. Julie Osgood, DrPH, was named COO of Newport, Ore.-based Samaritan Medical Group.

6. Leandris Liburd, PhD, was named acting director of the CDC Office of Health Equity. 

7. Jennifer Layden, MD, PhD, will be the acting director for the Office of Public Health Data, Surveillance and Technology. 

8. Julie Miller-Phipps will retire in July as president of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente's Southern California and Hawaii markets. 

9. Kate Walsh, CEO of Boston Medical Center Health System, was tapped to lead Massachusetts' health department.

10. Crystal Kincaid, DPM, was named chief medical officer of Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Ky. 

11. Tracy Duran, MSN, RN, was named acute care director and regional director of nursing at Topeka, Kan.-based Stormont Vail Health's Flint Hills campus.

12. Gretchen McCullough, MSN, RN, was named chief nursing officer of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn.
