12 recent hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The executives are listed below, alphabetically.

1. Crawford County Memorial Hospital President and CEO Bill Bruce is retiring, effective Dec. 31.

2. Franklin, Ind.-based Johnson Memorial Health has selected David Dunkle, MD, to serve as president and CEO.

3. Lee Goldman, MD, chief executive of New York City-based Columbia University Irving Medical Center, will leave the role after 14 years, effective June 30, 2020.

4. Fort Wayne, Ind.-based Lutheran Health Network appointed Jake Golich CEO of St. Joseph Hospital in Fort Wayne, effective July 8.

5. University Medical Center New Orleans selected Danny Hardman, RN, to serve as CEO, effective June 3.

6. Memorial Hospital of Converse County in Douglas, Wyo., selected Karl Hertz to serve as interim CEO, effective May 22.

7. George V. Masi, president and CEO of Houston-based Harris Health System, plans to retire, effective May 1, 2020.

8. Lisle, Ill.-based Amita Health has named Michael Murrill CEO of Amita Health Adventist Medical Center Hinsdale (Ill.).

9. Greenville, S.C.-based Prisma Health named Mark S. O'Halla president and CEO, effective in mid-August.

10. Frank J. Sardone, president and CEO of Kalamazoo, Mich.-based Bronson Healthcare, is planning to retire at the end of 2019, ending a 23-year tenure.

11. Ron Violi, CEO of Wheeling (W.Va.) Hospital, retired May 24 after leading the hospital for 13 years.

12. Evanston (Wyo.) Regional Hospital selected Cheri Willard, RN, to serve as CEO and chief nursing officer, effective June 10.
