12 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

1. Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health appointed Peter D. Banko president and CEO, effective Sept. 1.

2. Blair, Neb.-based Memorial Community Hospital & Health System President and CEO Tim Plante is stepping down, effective Sept. 30.

3. Franklin, Tenn.-based Iasis Healthcare named Jacob Golich CEO of Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz.

4. Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems selected Keith Granger regional president and market CEO for its Alabama region.

5. University of Miami Health System CEO Steven M. Altschuler, MD, is resigning, effective Sept. 15, less than two years after assuming the role.

6. St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, Idaho, tapped Blain Claypool to lead as CEO, effective Sept. 25.

7. Richard Boehler, president and CEO of St. Joseph Hospital in Nashua, N.H., is resigning, effective Sept. 1.

8. Banning, Calif.-based San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital CEO Mark Turner is resigning, effective Sept. 15.

9. Girard (Kan.) Medical Center tapped Ruth Duling to lead as CEO.

10. Baptist Health Paducah (Ky.) selected Chris Roty to serve as interim CEO, following the resignation of William A. Brown.

11. Connally Memorial Medical Center in Floresville, Texas, appointed Jeremy Riney CEO.

12. Detroit-based Henry Ford Hospital President and CEO John Popovich, MD, announced his retirement, effective at the end of the second quarter of 2018.
