12 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

1. Mat-Su Regional Medical Center in Palmer, Alaska, named Dave Wallace CEO.

2. Amita Health Adventist Medical Center La Grange (Ill.) selected Michael Murrill to serve as CEO.

3. Avera Gregory (S.D.) Hospital CEO Anthony Timanus is leaving his post for a 13-month deployment, during which he will care for soldiers in the Middle East.

4. Columbus, Ga.-based St. Francis Hospital selected Dan Jones to serve as interim CEO.

5. Mark Sprada, interim chief executive of Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, resigned.

6. Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.) CEO Ikenna Mmeje is departing for a new job opportunity.

7. Coliseum Northside Hospital in Macon, Ga., named Greg Caples CEO.

8. The Memorial Hospital of Salem (N.J.) County selected Tammy Torres, MSN, DNP, RN, to serve as permanent CEO.

9. LewisGale Hospital Pulaski (Va.) named Sean Pressman its permanent CEO.

10. Detroit Medical Center's Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce Charter Township, Mich., tapped Karima Bentounsi to lead as CEO.

11. Houston-based Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center CEO Terry Wheeler retired, ending a 14-year tenure.

12. Los Angeles-based Prospect Medical Holdings selected Peter Adamo to serve as president and CEO of Waterbury (Conn.) Hospital and the Greater Waterbury Health Network.
