10 latest hospital, health system executive retirements

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive retirements in the last four weeks.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Susan Childers, CEO of King City, Calif.-based Mee Memorial Hospital, will retire March 1, 2019.

2. Paul Chodkowski, CEO of St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco, Colo., retired, effective Aug. 3.

3. Erie, Pa.-based UPMC Hamot CFO Steve Danch retired July 31.

4. Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Health officials confirmed Aug. 6 that system President and CEO Howard Grant, MD, will retire in September.

5. Boston-based New England Baptist Hospital President and CEO Trish Hannon, RN, will retire Sept. 30.

6. Memorial Hospital at Gulfport (Miss.) President and CEO Gary Marchand retired Aug. 1.

7. North Conway, N.H.-based Memorial Hospital President and CEO Scott McKinnon is retiring Oct. 31.

8. Morehead, Ky.-based St. Claire HealthCare President and CEO Mark J. Neff will retire, effective Jan. 31, 2019.

9. Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Avera Health COO Fred Slunecka retired July 27.

10. Irving, Texas-based Christus Health Senior Vice President of Group Operations Stephen Wright is retiring Oct. 1.
