10 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Beverly Capasso, RN, president and CEO of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health, resigned.

2. Butler (Pa.) Health System selected Michael Deitschmann to serve as CFO, effective Oct. 1.

3. Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley, Calif., appointed Brian Evans, MD, president and CEO, effective Dec. 2.

4. Corpus Christi, Texas-based Driscoll Health System selected Eric Hamon to serve as permanent president and CEO.

5. Charles Lucore, MD, president and CEO of HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, Ill., is resigning Oct. 31.

6. John Rudd, president and CEO of Ithaca, N.Y.-based Cayuga Health System and Cayuga Medical Center, is retiring in fall 2019.

7. Slidell (La.) Memorial Hospital named Kerry R. Tirman CEO, effective Nov. 12.

8. UnityPoint Health-Cedar Rapids (Iowa) President and CEO Theodore Townsend, Jr., will retire Dec. 31.

9. Burlington, Mass.-based Wellforce selected Michael Wagner, MD, to serve as interim CEO, beginning Jan. 1, 2019.

10. David M. Zechman, president and CEO of McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey, plans to retire at the end of 2018.
