10 latest hospital CNO, CMO moves

The following 10 hospital and health system CNO and CMO moves were covered by Becker's Hospital Review in the last month, starting with the most recent.

1. Chicago-based Rush Health named Michael Raymond, MD, as CMO. He was previously the associate chief medical quality officer at NorthShore University Health System in Evanston, Ill.

2. Grand River Health in Rifle, Colo., promoted Anastasia Pemberton, RN, to the position of CNO. She was previously the health system's emergency department director.

3. Southwestern Medical Center in Lawton, Okla., named Jayne Thomas as CNO. She has nearly 30 years of nursing experience.

4. Steamboat Springs, Colo.-based Yampa Valley Medical Center named Ken Lindsey, MD, as CMO. His clinical practice includes emergency medicine, urgent care and family medicine.

5. Jonathan Kaper, MD, was named CMO and patient safety officer of Beaumont Hospital-Trenton (Mich.). He is an anesthesiologist.

6. Memorial Medical Center in Modesto, Calif., named Bruce Laverty, MD, as its chief medical executive. Dr. Laverty previously had a career in the U.S. Navy.

7. Kenneth Green, MD, was named as the first CMO for Leitchfield, Ky.-based Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

8. Murray (Ky.)-Calloway County Hospital appointed Jeffrey Eye, RN, MSN, as CNO. Mr. Eye was previously with St. Luke's Health System in Kansas City, Mo.

9. Oceanside, N.Y.-based South Nassau Communities Hospital named Adhi Sharma, MD, as senior vice president of medical affairs and CMO. He had been serving in that role in an interim capacity.

10. Lafayette (La.) General Health named Ziad Ashkar, MD, as CMO. Dr. Ashkar was previously section chief of medicine.
