Medical City Fort Worth, a 348-bed hospital in Texas, has named John Hoover CEO. 

Sioux Falls, S.D.-based Sanford Health is expanding its executive team with several changes that are designed to support "progress toward our goals and to position the organization for even greater impact," President and CEO Bill Gassen said in a Sept. 6 email to employees. 

Dallas-based Children's Health has named Dane Peterson as its COO. 

St. Luke Hospital in Marion, Kan., tapped Alex Haines as its next CEO, the Hillsboro Star-Journal reported Sept. 6. 

Samantha Silverberg has been named CFO of Loxahatchee-based HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. 

Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, Miss., has named David Fox CEO, The Vicksburg Post reported Sept. 6. 

Peter Hahn, MD, has resigned as president of the University of Michigan Health-West. 

Rodolfo "Rudy" Garza, MD, has been named chief medical officer of St. David's Medical Center in Austin, Texas. He took on the role Aug. 28. 

Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health has named CEOs to lead the five Utah hospitals added to the system in May. 

Jason Barrett was named CEO of Amarillo, Texas-based Northwest Texas Healthcare System.

The MetroHealth System in Cleveland has named Derrick Hollings executive vice president and CFO, effective Sept. 18. 

Los Angeles-based Keck Medicine of USC has named Chris Allen CFO, effective Aug. 31. 

Tim Pugsley has been named CIO of Watertown, S.D.-based Prairie Lakes Healthcare System. 

Buffalo, N.Y.-based Kaleida Health has appointed two leaders to its executive team and started the search for a new CFO.

UPMC has named Frederick Hargett as its executive vice president and CFO, effective Oct. 1.

Walgreens Boots Alliance is seeking a CEO and CFO with healthcare experience as it aims to position itself more as a healthcare company than a pharmacy chain. 

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson tapped Sally Seymour as CEO.
