CFO Kevin Walstrom: Mission-Driven Financial Leadership at PeaceHealth

Kevin Walstrom, CFO of PeaceHealth, is currently in his second stint at the Bellingham, Wash.-based health system, and according to the system's website, his "mission-driven" financial leadership has helped solidify healthcare in the Northwest.

KevinWalstromMr. Walstrom originally worked for PeaceHealth from 1987 through 2001. His last position at the health system was the regional CFO for PeaceHealth's Lower Columbia Region in Longview, Wash.

From there, he moved on to become CFO of Providence Health Care — Eastern Washington, part of Renton, Wash.-based Providence Health & Services, where he oversaw the financial management of the organization's largest service area and Sacred Heart Medical Center and Children's Hospital in Spokane, Wash. In total, the Eastern Washington area represented total net revenue of roughly $1.4 billion in 2010.

In 2010, Mr. Walstrom returned to PeaceHealth to take on his current position. Currently, he manages the finances of PeaceHealth's nine hospitals, which are scattered through Washington, Oregon and Alaska.
