CEO Kenneth Randall: Leading Expansion at Artesia General Hospital

Staff -

Kenneth Randall serves as CEO of Artesia (N.M.) General Hospital, a 49-bed nonprofit community hospital owned by Community Hospital Corp.

Under Mr. Randall's leadership, the hospital has grown in numerous ways. "In the past seven years, we have grown anywhere from 600 to 800 percent in almost every capacity," he told the Daily Press earlier this year. For instance, the hospital expanded its emergency room space recently and recruited several new physicians, nurses and other staff members.

And there is even more growth in the hospital's future: The community recently approved $14.5 million in bonds for remodeling and expansion at Artesia General Hospital. Mr. Randall plans to use the money to expand operating room and lab space at the hospital and expand parking, among other projects.

In addition to leading growth at Artesia General Hospital, Mr. Randall has also served on the board of directors of the New Mexico Hospital Association. In that capacity, he helped lead development of public policy in the interest of the state's hospitals and also in state and national legislative areas.
