It can be difficult for new hospital CEOs to get to know the community surrounding their organization and what their needs are, but Ms. Sinacore-Jaberg took a head-on approach to that problem: community focus groups. "The purpose of the community groups is to create a focused environment designed to capture current perceptions of our hospital from those who live here," she explained in a news release. "We need to hear directly from those we serve and those we hope to serve."

The focus groups give Ms. Sinacore-Jaberg and the rest of the hospital's executive team insight on whether or not the hospital is meeting the community's needs, which is one of Ms. Sinacore-Jaberg's main priorities as a CEO. "If you don't do that, you don't have any business running a hospital," she told the Smokey Mountain News.

Ms. Sinacore-Jaberg holds a master's degree in business and healthcare administration from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant.
