Jani Johnson has served as president and CEO of St. Luke's South Hospital in Overland Park, Kan., since September 2012. Jani Johnson


Ms. Johnson has been with the St. Luke's Health System since 1985. She started her career as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Mid America Heart Institute. Before becoming CEO of St. Luke's South Hospital, she was the vice president of the cardiovascular service line for St. Luke's Health System and the Heart Institute.

During her time at St. Luke's, Ms. Johnson assisted with integrating the Cardiovascular Consultants physician practice into the health system. She also oversaw the launch of the new Mid America Heart Institute at St. Luke's Hospital in 2011.

Ms. Johnson made Becker's Hospital Review's 2012 list of 120 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know.
