Yale New Haven (Conn.) Health has launched a platform that allows clinicians to access patient surveillance trends and alerts from their mobile devices, part of the health system's expanded partnership with PeraHealth.

With the new mobile platform, clinicians will be able to retrieve PeraHealth's Rothman Index data about patients while on the go. The Rothman Index is an algorithm that tracks patient data in real time to predict deterioration risk as early as possible and issue alerts to care teams when patients' conditions are worsening.

Yale New Haven Health has been a longtime partner of PeraHealth, and has helped to validate several iterations and applications of the Rothman Index. The new agreement not only brings the mobile application to the health system, but also extends the organizations' partnership for several more years, according to a March 3 news release.
