Vermont REC: 75% of Primary Care Physicians Have Switched to EHRs

Vermont Information Technology Leaders, the regional extension center of Vermont, has announced that 75 percent of primary care physicians have committed to switching from paper records to electronic health records, according to a VITL news release.

More than 750 Vermont primary care practitioners have signed agreements with VITL, stating that they plan to add electronic health records systems to their practices. VITL will help practitioners achieve meaningful use by providing education and on-site guidance from staff who are experienced with planning and implementing these systems.
