US House of Representatives seeks CISO

The U.S. House of Representatives is seeking a chief information security officer amid a rash of cyberattacks that have plagued many industries, including healthcare.

The CISO will lead the House's cybersecurity program, overseeing strategy for keeping the government branch's IT systems and resources confidential and available, according to the job posting from executive search firm Odgers Berndtson. The executive will lead a team of about 100 employees, including 30 who are full time and 70 contractors, and manage a roughly $29 million budget.

Candidates must have at least 12 years of experience in executive-level information security roles, according to the posting.
