Twiage took home the People's Choice Award from the American Heart Association 2016 Health Tech Competition.

Twiage, a cloud-based pre-hospital communication solution enterprise, allows first responders and ambulances to share real-time data with hospitals.

At the AHA's Scientific Sessions 2016 on Nov. 14, seven competition finalists presented their products to a panel of judges and an audience of 100 cardiologists. Based on votes from the audience, the People's Choice Award is given to the company with the most innovative approach to improving healthcare.

The award makes Twiage the only health IT startup to receive innovation-based awards from the AHA and the American Medical Association, from which it won an award this summer.
