Telemedicine company swyMed forms scientific advisory board

SwyMed, a provider of video telemedicine solutions, has created a scientific advisory board.

The board will advise the telemedicine-focused company on most valuable applications for swyMed’s mobile solutions.

The company’s scientific advisory board includes:

•    Lester Wold, MD
•    James McCarthy, MD
•    Ronald Merrell, MD
•    Noah Rosen, MD

Dr. Wold will chair the board. He is the CMO of Minneapolis-based VitalHealth Software.He is former chair of Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic’s department of laboratory medicine and pathology.

Dr. McCarthy is a clinical nephrologist and previously provided care at Mayo Clinic. While there, he chaired Mayo Clinic Health System’s Electronic Medical Record Oversight Group.

Dr. Merrell currently serves as editor-in-chief of Telemedicine and E-Health. He is the former clinical director of Richmond-based Virginia Commonwealth University Health System’s telemedicine program.

Dr. Rosen is a practicing vascular surgeon and complex wound surgeon. He currently serves as CMO for swyMed.
