Technogym, a Cesena, Italy-based fitness technology company, is working to create an artificial intelligence-powered virtual coaching platform.
The platform, which will integrate IBM Watson's cognitive computing and Internet of Things services, will interact with the user through natural language capabilities and offer personalized training programs based on their goals. The virtual health coach will also manage users' fitness data.
"Our goal has always been to offer our users a personalized training experience via connected equipment, services and content capable of interacting with them, understanding their deep motivation and needs and delivering results," said Nerio Alessandri, founder and CEO of Technogym.
