St. Luke's Health System bans Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones at all facilities

Staff -

Boise, Idaho-based St. Luke's Health System is implementing a ban on all Samsung Galaxy Note 7 smartphones at its Idaho facilities, according to The News & Observer.

The health system said in a news release Monday the ban applies to all employees, patients and visitors. Signs placed around St. Luke's facilities will provide information about the ban.

Samsung recently recalled millions of its Galaxy Note 7 smartphones around the world because of a problem that causes the batteries to overheat and catch fire. However, it is believed many people continue to use the phones.
