St. Dominic Hospital expands telemedicine services with behavioral health

Jackson, Miss.-based St. Dominic Hospital is expanding the reach of its behavioral health services with telemedicine.

At present, St. Dominic Hospital offers inpatient psychiatric services. Through this new telemedicine program, patients will have the option to receive remote behavioral health assessments at St. Dominic Hospital's partner hospitals. The services will be offered through Reach Health, a telemedicine software company.

This program builds on St. Dominic Hospital's telestroke program, which focuses on emergency stroke treatment. The telestroke program, which launched in 2012, now includes six partner hospitals.
