Sony debuts mSafety mobile health platform

Andrea Park -

Sony unveiled on Oct. 16 its customizable mSafety platform, which can be adapted to fit the remote monitoring needs of any healthcare organization.

The platform comprises a connected wearable smartwatch and a secure backend solution. Healthcare partners can build upon and scale out the ready-made platform to develop their own mobile health applications or remote monitoring programs.

The wearable device is user-friendly and boasts energy-efficient internet of things connectivity and bi-directional communication capabilities. The platform as a whole offers end-to-end data encryption, wireless updates and support for software driven by artificial intelligence and data processing.

MSafety will debut at the Connected Health Conference in Boston before being made available to partners in early 2020.
