SCL Health IT chief receives 'CIO of the Year' Orbie award 

The Inspire CIO of the Year Orbie Awards recently named SCL Health CIO Craig Richardville the recipient of its healthcare CIO award, according to a July 26 news release. 

Mr. Richardville, who serves as senior vice president and chief information and digital officer at Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health, received the InspireCIO National Chief Information Officer of the Year Orbie Award in the healthcare category July 22. He was one of six finalists for the award. 

The award recognizes CIOs who display exceptional leadership, innovation and vision.  

"It has been a challenging year in healthcare. I am very proud of all my fellow technology and digital leaders that serve this amazing industry across the country," Mr. Richardville said in the news release. "I'm especially grateful for the technology and digital team at SCL Health who work hard every day to improve the delivery of healthcare and uplift the communities we serve." 

As CIO, Mr. Richardville leads all aspects of SCL Health's IT strategy and operations, including enterprise systems, information security and digital transformation. Prior to joining SCL Health, Mr. Richardville owned Richardville Consulting firm and spent more than 20 years serving in IT roles at Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health.
