The PIDS project aims to enable the communication of information within and between multi-state health information exchanges via Nationwide Health Information Network technologies. The project focuses on patient identity, authentication and authorization during patient-initiated electronic exchanges of health information.
Key participants include the Kantara Initiative, ApeniMED, Surescripts, eHealth Ohio, Global Patient Identifiers and SAFE Biopharma. In addition, the eCitizen Foundation will help Kantara HIAWG with project management.
