Here are eight recent news updates on health IT companies.

1. 23andMe plans to hire an additional 200 employees in 2018.

2. Apple expanded its iPhone's health records pilot to nearly 40 health systems nationwide, the company confirmed March 29.

3. DrChrono will offer Apple device leasing bundle plans for physicians and other medical professionals in a low-cost effort to combine their EHR with Apple's hardware, the company announced April 2.

5. Veritas Capital entered into a definitive agreement with GE Healthcare April 2 to purchase its value-based care division for $1.05 billion in cash.
