About 57 percent of executives report trusting automated systems as much as or more than human workers to protect their organizations from cyberthreats, according to a Radware report.
Radware, a cybersecurity and applications delivery solutions provider, surveyed 200 executives from the U.S. and Europe for its "2017 Executive Application & Network Security Survey" report.
Here are five findings from the report.
1. Eighty-one percent of executives said they have already implemented automated security solutions.
2. Thirty-eight percent of executives hypothesize automated security systems will constitute the primary method of managing cybersecurity within two years.
3. One-third of executives surveyed reported trusting automated systems more than humans to protect their organization, while one-quarter of executives said they trust human workers more than automated systems.
4. One-quarter of executives said they trusted automated systems and human workers equally. The remaining respondents said both humans and automation have vulnerabilities.
5. Forty-seven percent of executives said information security is a major goal they consider when strategizing digital transformation.
