Nicklaus Children's Hospital earns Stage 7 HIMSS Analytics recognition

HIMSS Analytics has recognized Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami for achieving Stage 7 of the Electronic Medical Record Adoption Model.

During the fourth quarter of 2015, just 4.2 percent of more than 5,400 hospitals in the country received the Stage 7 award.

"Very early on in this journey we saw the importance that digitization places on the patients and families in our care, from reducing costs, improving care and improving the service to our customers. We are honored to be recognized for our ability to adopt and embrace a digitized healthcare workplace," said Edward Martinez, senior vice president and CIO of Miami Children's Health System, the parent system of Nicklaus Children's Hospital.
