Movers and shakers: 8 latest leadership changes affecting health IT

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following health IT executive moves recently affecting hospitals, companies and federal agencies:

1. Marathon Patent Group's board of directors hired Jesse Lund to serve as an advisor.

2. Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente has appointed Prat Vemana chief digital officer, a newly created role, effective Aug. 12.

3. CVS Health has selected Sree Chaguturu, MD, to serve as CMO of its pharmacy benefits management business, CVS Caremark, effective in early September.

4. David Sides will oversee Teladoc Health's commercial, technology and operations teams as the new COO of the company.

5. Taylor Hamilton will become Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health's chief consumer officer, a newly created role focused on developing innovative patient interactions and improving patient experience. 

6. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health named Marcus Shipley senior vice president of innovation and CIO.

7. Jason Windsor will serve as chief health information officer of GovernmentCIO, a government information technology and research consultant. 

8. Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health appointed Suja Chandrasekaran to serve as senior executive vice president and chief information and digital officer, a newly created role.
