Movers and shakers: 7 latest leadership changes affecting health IT

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following health IT executive moves recently affecting hospitals, companies and federal agencies:

1. Telehealth provider GlobalMed appointed Shannon Murphy, a former Microsoft executive, as chief technology officer.

2. Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health Services of Long Island named Steven H. Stepp vice president of population health analytics.for CHS Physician Partners, its network of 1,800 physicians, as well as a new leader for its 250-member employed physician group.

3. Batesville, Ark.-based White River Health System appointed Jeff Reifsteck assistant vice president and CIO.

4. Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis named Maria Russo CIO, a new position, effective May 1.

5. Ariadne Labs, Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital and Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health's joint innovation center, selected Asaf Bitton, MD, as its new executive director.

6. Yorktel, a health IT and cloud services company, appointed Sudhir "Sid" Ahuja, MD, as senior vice president of healthcare product management.

7. Continuum Health IT, a management service organization, appointed Jeff Macko as president and managing partner.
