Movers and shakers: 7 latest leadership changes affecting health IT

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following health IT executive moves recently affecting hospitals, companies and federal agencies:

1. Pittsburgh-based Allegheny Health Network appointed Jeffrey Cohen, MD, chief physician executive, community health and innovation, a newly created role.

2. College of Healthcare Information Management Executives announced several new officer and membership appointments. Officers named to CHIME's Board include Tanya Townsend, David Chou and Darren Dworkin, and members joining the board of trustees include George Hickman, Daniel Nigrin, Sarah Richardson and Ajay Kapare.

3. Aglios Therapeutics named Matthew McClure, MD, executive vice president and CMO.

4. Renalytix AI, a company that develops artificial intelligence-enabled clinical diagnostics for kidney diseases, named Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medicine's Chirag Parikh, MD, to its board.

5. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center named Claus Torp Jensen, PhD, the New York City-based institution's first chief digital officer and head of technology.

6. Michael R. Jaff, DO, president of Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass., is resigning for a leadership role at medical devicemaker Boston Scientific.

7. Karen DeSalvo, MD, has been appointed Google's first chief health officer.
