Movers and shakers: 7 latest leadership changes affecting health IT

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following health IT executive moves recently affecting hospitals, companies and federal agencies:

1. Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System has appointed David K. Vawdrey, PhD, chief data informatics officer.

2. St. Louis-based Ascension named Eduardo Conrado executive vice president and chief strategy and innovations officer.

3. Flatiron Health, an oncology EHR vendor, has appointed Michael Vasconcelles, MD, as CMO, effective August 2019.

4. Rockledge, Fla.-based Health First appointed William Walders CIO.

5. Corpus Christi, Texas-based Driscoll Health System named Justin Box vice president and CIO.

6. Mark Roche, MD, is leaving his role as CMS' chief health informatics officer after four months on the job.

7. Patrick Soon-Shiong, MD, stepped down from CMS' Health Information Technology Advisory Committee.
