Mayo Clinic looks to lower healthcare costs with Premise Health

Mackenzie Garrity -

Following Walmart's Center of Excellence approach, Premise Health and Mayo Clinic have partnered to improve access to quality care while lowering healthcare costs.

In the collaboration deal, Premise members and dependents will have access to the Rochester, Minn.-based health system's services.

The initiative is designed to give patients with high-cost and high-risk diagnoses, better access to evaluations, accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatments.

Mayo Clinic and Premise also plan to use various forms of technology to reach more patients at the point of care.
