Life Care Centers of America launches IT improvement program in senior facilities

Life Care Centers of America, an assisted and independent living, retirement and skilled nursing facilities management company, launched assyst, an IT management software.

LCCA, which manages 260 facilities in 28 states, launched the program to ease the company’s transition into an effective IT system, according to a news release. Assyst is a documentation and management software that streamlines billing, operations and human resources into one interface. Axios Systems, the international corporation based in Herndon, Va., that produces assyst, is an IT service management company that focuses on improving infrastructure operations.

“We chose assyst because it was the best solution for easing into an ITSM transition, and we were able to visualize a long-term commitment to IT evolution and an improved overall maturity,” Kenneth Kier, director of IT support at LCCA, said in a news release. “We look forward to empowering our end users while enhancing their overall experience.”

LCCA, based in Cleveland, Tenn., has a revenue of approximately $2.9 billion as of October 2014, according to Forbes. The company is currently engaged in multiple ongoing lawsuits, including
