Jefferson Hospital in Pittsburgh has implemented a security measure to make sure only authorized people can access infants.

Through a Wi-Fi enabled anklet on the infant, called Hugs Wi-Fi Infant Protection and produced by Waltham, Mass.-based Stanley Healthcare, the hospital system matches mothers with babies and produces an audible sound to either confirm or deny appropriate matches. The device also alerts the staff if a baby leaves the obstetrics department without medical personnel present, according to the Pittsburgh Business Journal.

The security system can be accessed through any Windows-enabled device with network access, and alerts are sent to staff through iPhones, iPods and other mobile devices. Jefferson Hospital is the first in Pennsylvania to use the infant security system, according to the report.

The security is a part of Jefferson Hospital’s new maternity care center, which opened in November and expects to deliver between 700 and 800 babies in 2015. Jefferson Hospital is part of the Allegheny Health Network, according to the report.
