Jefferson Health partners with GE Healthcare on 8-year transformative plan

Julie Spitzer -

Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health entered into an eight-year shared-risk agreement with GE Healthcare to optimize the health system's patient care strategy.

The partnership seeks to improve healthcare delivery by removing redundancies and maximizing sourcing efficiencies throughout the health system's locations in Pennsylvania. The goal is to generate between $500 million and $1 billion in efficiencies, which the hospital would direct toward services that meet patient needs.

Jefferson Health and GE staff will work together to improve strategic growth, operations, integration and performance opportunities at the health system. The partnership will also explore ways to use technology to deliver convenient and affordable care.
