IT server blip forces Cibola General to use paper records

Staff -

Cibola General Hospital in Grants, N.M., was forced to return to paper record keeping for approximately one week after a plug in the server came loose and shut down the hospital's entire system, according to a Cibola County Beacon report.

Five departments were affected by the malfunction: emergency, medical surgery, radiology, pharmacy and medical records.

Hospital administration predicted the paper records would be entered into the EHR platform sometime this week, according to the report.
