Jessica Kim Cohen -

2019 marks the first year KLAS Research included a virtual care platform category in its annual "Best in KLAS" rankings.

For its annual rankings, market research firm KLAS Research evaluates leading software and services vendors in healthcare. The rankings are based on information obtained from 2,500 interviews KLAS Research conducts with providers and payers each month, representing the experiences of more than 4,500 hospitals and 2,500 clinics.

KLAS Research included five vendors in its virtual care platforms ranking for 2019, which it housed under its section on value-based care services. Vendors are ranked on a scale of 0 to 100, including feedback in six performance categories: culture, relationship, operations, product, value and loyalty.

2. Epic: 87.6

3. SnapMD: 86.2

4. American Well (formerly Avizia): 84.5
