Hospital leaders rank ‘contracting’ as No. 1 area of interest for blockchain deployment

Nineteen percent of hospital executives are in the process of or considering deploying blockchain solutions at their facilities, according to a Black Book survey.

For the survey, Black Book asked 276 hospital executives, managers and IT specialists about their attitudes toward enterprise deployment of blockchain solutions.

Here’s how the executives responded when asked about their blockchain interests for 2018.

1. Contracting: 89 percent

2. Finances/reimbursement: 82 percent

3. Big data collection: 78 percent

4. Internet of Things: 73 percent

5. Identity management: 59 percent

6. Supply chain: 53 percent
