HHS names members of Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force

HHS has announced the members of its Health Care Industry Cybersecurity Task Force, a collaboration of leaders in the public and private sectors that will address cybersecurity issues in healthcare.

The creation of the task force was outlined in the Cybersecurity Information Sharing Act of 2015, which requires the task force members to examine best practices for organizations to keep data and connected medical devices secure. The task force will present their findings in the next year.

The 21 task force members represent hospitals, payers, patient advocates, security researchers, vendors, pharmaceutical companies and laboratories. They were selected based on recommendations from a panel of subject matter experts from HHS, Department of Homeland Security and the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

They are presented here in alphabetical order.
