Health IT provider partners with blockchain startup to reduce costs, improve care accessibility

Health information technology provider for the U.S. government HMS Technologies has teamed up with blockchain startup Solve.Care, according to the Cointelegraph.

According to an agreement between the two companies, HMS will integrate Solve.Care's blockchain platform into its federal health IT initiative, which aims to reduce healthcare costs and improve interoperability and accessibility.

Solve.Care has been making a deeper presence in the healthcare space. Last month the blockchain startup partnered with Lyft to allow users to schedule rides to clinics, hospitals and pharmacies through the blockchain's digital wallet.
